The covert devices that contain the Darkin are meant to contain them and put an end to their reign of terror. Only if they had a live vessel will they be able to flee. Naafiri, who is held captive inside a dagger, is one of these Darkin. She was unintentionally awoken, and now, according to folklore, she’s searching for her clan.
In the League of Legends universe, where there are presently only three Darkins, Naafiri will be the fourth.
