Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game, developed and published by HoYoverse in 2020. Since then it has grown in popularity and has reached the gaming system of almost every gamer in the world.
Now, Yelan, an unreleased 5-star Genshin Impact character, has been announced officially by HoYoverse. And as can be expected from the hundreds of loyal fans worldwide, leaks have around started appearing around this character.
The Genshin Yelan release date and her weapon type, along with her appearance, have been speculated upon in the recent 2.7 beta.

Has a release date been confirmed for Genshin Impact Yelan
The developers are yet to confirm anything regarding the Yelan release date. However, that has not stopped leakers from sniffing around and speculating about this topic. Lumie, a reliable and trustworthy Genshin Impact leaker, says in a tweet dated March 25 that their sources have told them that the character Yelan will be available in the “first phase of 2.7” update.
That means that players will only be able to access her after the character Ayato has been released, which will happen in the 2.6 update.
Furthermore, Lumie states that Genshin Kuki Shinobu, who is an unreleased 4-star character will be released in the second half of the 2.7 update. Now, don’t go taking all this without a pinch of salt as this has not been confirmed officially yet.
But as the end of Inazuma’s storyline seems near, we’ll get more news on Genshin Impact Yelan’s arrival soon from official sources. So keep your eyes and ears peeled.

Genshin Impact Yelan weapon
Recent and early data mines give us the leak that Yelan will probably be wielding a Bow. The popular Genshin Impact leaker, @anonsbelle, has leaked the information that Yelan will be equipped with a Bow that will allow her to shoot lethal arrows at her enemies from far off.
One aspect to keep in mind here is that the developers, HoYoverse, and others, could change their minds about the unreleased Yelan’s weapon and completely change the weapon or weapon type before she hits the game whenever she does. So Bow lovers, don’t get too excited.
Genshin Impact Yelan abilities
As with all other aspects of Yelan, her abilities are also pending official approval. But that doesn’t stop our dedicated leakers, of course. The latest leak has stated that the 5-star character will be wielding a Water Vision.
Now, Hydro is one of the seven elements in Genshin Impact. Having a Water Vision, Genshin Yelan abilities will be focused and tailored around wetting or drenching her enemies from a distance.

Release date of Kuki Shinobu
Kuki Shinubo’s release date is yet to be confirmed officially by HoYoverse, but the leaks of several Genshin Impact leakers, including the already mentioned Lumie, say that she’ll release in the second half of the 2.7 update, and this means she’ll follow Yelan closely.
Genshin Impact’s 2.6 update starts on March 30, 2022, and will have Ayato as the newly released 5-star Hydro character, wielding a potent sword. So save up on your Primogems if you want Yelan, Ayato, and Kuki Shinobu.
Kuki Shinobu’s abilities in Genshin Impact
Kuki Shinobu’s abilities are yet to be revealed (no surprises there). However, we do know that she is going to be an Electro character. This means that Yelan and Kuki Shinobu will have amazing synergy.
Just how she’ll use her abilities remains unknown to us as of now, but we’ll get to see some gameplay as we near the release date.

Kuki Shinobu’s storyline in Genshin Impact
Right now, we don’t know what Kuki Shinobu’s story quest will be. All that we know about her is that she is Arataki Itto’s companion and the Deputy of the Arataki Gang. Some in-game texts here and there give us the suggestion that the character keeps Itto’s antics in control.
It’s said that she compensates for said antics of Itto for those who’ve been impacted by them. And she also bails Itto out of jail. Sayu states that Kuki Shinobu is Itto’s “little sidekick.” He says that “birds of a feather flock together.”
Kuki Shinobu’s gameplay leaks
HoYoverse has released Kuki Shinobu’s official banner artwork, even though we don’t know her Elemental Skill and Elemental burst till now. Well, the artwork reveals that Kuki wears a mask and is similar to Sucrose and Yanfei in Genshin Impact.
Fanart of Kuki Shinobu had then portrayed her as a much younger, but in age-similar to Sayu, character. Well, the official details have proven that such fanart was not true.
HoYoverse is going to reveal more details about both Yelan and Kuki Shinubo very soon. But till then, this is pretty much all that we know right now.
