A big surprise in gaming happened recently with Sea of Thieves, the game previously exclusive to Xbox has dominated the PlayStation charts throughout May.
It came out on PlayStation on April 30 and got a lot of fans right away. In fact, Sony even reported that in Europe and North America for the whole month of May, Sea of Thieves was the most downloaded game, beating out many other popular titles.

Sony recently revealed which games were downloaded the most across all its platforms in May. Sea of Thieves from Rare came out on top for PS5 in two regions, beating popular titles like Grand Theft Auto V, Madden NFL 24, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
Sea of Thieves was one of the first games to move from being exclusive to Xbox and PC to also being available on PlayStation consoles. It was joined by other games like Grounded, Pentiment, and Hi-Fi Rush in making this move.
In Europe and North America, Sea of Thieves topped PlayStation’s digital download charts ahead of Madden NFL 24, Grand Theft Auto V, Helldivers 2, and Stellar Blade.
Well, Sea of Thieves is an open-world co-op pirate game that lets you explore with friends in a big open world. It first came out in 2018 and received positive reviews for its pirate-themed, open-world adventure. Its success shows how many people still love this game and proves that games can be popular on different consoles, reaching more players.
